Molecular Sieve 4A

Molecular sieve 4A is the sodium alumino-silicate with type A crystal structure. The effective pore opening is about 4 angstroms, which means it can only adsorb molecules with effective diameter smaller than 4 angstroms, such as nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and straight chain hydrocarbons. With this feature, 4A molecular sieve is often used in the applications as below

Recommended Application :

1. Drying and removing of CO2 from natural gas, LPG, air, etc.

2. Removal of hydrocarbons, ammonia and methanol from gas streams.

3. Refrigerant Drying.

4. Natural Gas Drying.

5. Dehydration of air in the air break units of automobile.

6. Be used as desiccant for foods, electronics elements, drugs etc.

Molecular 4A can be regenerated and reused by two ways. One is thermal regeneration method (thermal swing adsorption, TSA), which need to heat it to 200-230 ℃（390-570F). The other way is by lowering the pressure in the case of pressure swing adsorption process (PSA).
